IST Bioinformatics Web Services

We are creating some example workflows and scripts showing how to remotely access to IBWS services.
Here you will find links to all what currently is available, but the work is really in progress, so.... stay tuned!

Workflows
Some workflows are already available at the myExperiment web site. They were developed by using the Taverna workbench. You can, e.g., check the following:

• querySWS_minimalQuery
• Retrieve TP53 mutations for CABRI cell lines
• Search CABRI human and animal cell lines catalogues by cell line name and retrieve full cell line descriptions
• Search TP53 Somatic Mutation catalogue by intron and effect and retrieve full somatic mutation descriptions
• Get TP53 Mutation Function Entries And TP53 Cell Line Entries By MutAa And Codon Number

Template programme
In order to support the development of client software for our Web Services, we are developing some simple template programmes, mainly in PHP and perl.
You should anyway take into account that our Web Services were implemeted by using the SoapLab tool. So, any soaplab-enabled client should work for our services too.
Here, we are accumulating simple scripts, if you have any special need, you are welcome to email us.
Template in PHP, using NuSOAP - SOAP Toolkit for PHP:

• getBacteriaById.php: implements a call to the cabri.getBacteriaById service.

• getBacteriaById.pl: implements a call to the cabri.getBacteriaById service.

• sws_getSites.pl: implements a call to the sws.getSites service.

SoapLab packages
In order to support a possibile mirror implementation of IBWS services, we are also preparing a package including Soaplab definitions and all related information.
It will be available later, probably before Spring 2010.
