P19 (mouse, C3H/He, embryo, teratocarcinoma)

ICLC catalog code: ATL99013
Continuous culture, grown as monolayer
epithelial-like morphology
SPECIES: mouse, C3H/He
TISSUE/ORGAN: embryo
TUMOR: teratocarcinoma
DEPOSITOR: Dr F. Tosetti, Molecular Biology Dept, IST at ABC, Genoa, Italy
Cell line available for distribution. For non-commercial investigative use only
PROPERTIES: P19 cells can be induced by retinoic acid (RA) to differentiate into neuronal and glial cells or contractile cardiac muscle cells, depending upon RA concentration and cell density. They can also spontaneously differentiate when plated at too low or too high density and when grown in suspension.
