DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-5x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin; 0.02% EDTA: 5% CO2; 37C.

Used widely for the growth of C type viruses obtained from a variety of species including cat, baboon and humans. Also permissive for xenotrophic viruses found in BALB/c and AKR mice.
