EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:2 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C.

Derived from an ascites sample from a 52 year old male suffering from adenocarcinoma of the liver. The cells have now been shown to be endothelial in origin (In Vitro 1992;28A:136).
