90% RPMI 1640 + 10% FBS maintain at 0.5-1.5 x 106 cells/ml; split 1:2 to 1:3 every 2-3 days; seed out at ca. 1 x 106 cells/ml at 37C with 5% CO2 maximum density at about 2.0 x 106 cells/ml or higher;
doubling time of about 20-30 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 5 x 106 cells/ampoule;
contamination was eliminated with Ciprobay (ciprofloxacin), then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
