Collection of cell lines (dermal fibroblast and amniotic fluid cells) from patients affected by inherited metabolic diseases

Most of cell lines are derived from patients affected by lysosomal diseases. Inherited disorders of aminoacids, organic and peroxisomes and some other rare metabolic diseases are also present on account of great heterogeneity of genetic metabolic diseases; detailed clinical and biochemical information will be given on request. All cell lines are derived from skin biopsies (fibroblasts) or from amniotic fluid obtained from pregnancies at risk for specific metabolic diseases. The cells are used for biochemical and molecular studies.
