80-90% RPMI 1640 + 10-20% FBS maintain at 0.5-1.0 x 106 cells/ml; seed out at ca. 0.8-1.0 x 106 cells/ml; split 1:2 to 1:4 every 3-4 days; after thawing, culture should first be started with 20% FBS and best in 24-well-plates at 37C with 5% CO2 maximal density at about 1.0-1.5 x 106 cells/ml;
doubling time of ca. 40 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 5 x 106 cells/ampoule;
negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization assays;
