Morphology: single, round cells in suspension
Description: mouse hybridoma (anti-rat fiber/myosin) described as secreting a mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG 1 ) reacting with adult rat skeletal muscle type 2A (but not 2B) fibers in immunofluorescence and with undigested type 2A MHCs (myosin heavy chain) as well as both rod and light meromyosin fragments in Western blotting; rat neonatal and embryonic MHCs were not studied by Western blotting; established in 1985 by fusion of NSO myeloma cells with spleen cells from a BALB/c mouse immunized with purified myosin from bovine subcutaneous muscle confirmed as mouse with IEF of NP, PEP B
