This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).
ECACC catalog code: 90111914
Description: Mouse lymphosarcoma
Viruses: See Properties
Depositor: Obtained from ATCC, USA
No restrictions. Patent: None Specified By Depositor
Properties: Applications: Tumourigenicity studies
Available in the following LABORATORY:
Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 10% New Born Calf Serum (NBCS). Maintain cultures between 3-9x10,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Cells may attach to the tissue culture vessel, therefore shake gently to remove them during subculture.
Karyotype: Modal No. 61
Derived from a spontaneous culture of mouse lymphosarcoma MB (T86157). Unlike the parent line fibroblasts gradually disappeared and the lymphoblastoid cells became predominant. The tumour producing capacities were also lost with the loss of the fibroblasts.
Research council deposit: No;
Price Code: C;
Validated by: isoenzymes (species confirmation)
Availability in cell line catalogues: ATCC: CCL 32
