This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

ECACC catalog code: 89050906
Description: Mouse Swiss-Webster myoblast
Viruses: See Properties
Depositor: Obtained from ATCC, USA
No restrictions. Patent: None Specified By Depositor
Available in the following LABORATORY:
Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
DMEM + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Horse Serum (HS) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:8 i.e. seeding at 1-3x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C. Myotubes are formed at confluence. This is assisted by reducing both sera to 4%.
Isolated from a myogenic line derived from hind limb muscle of foetal Swiss-Webster mouse. Non-tumorigenic and highly sensitive to acetylcholine. Confluent cultures form multinucleated myotubes.
