90% RPMI 1640 + 10% FBS maintain at 0.3-1.0 x 106 cells/ml; split ratio of 1:2 to 1:3 every 2-3 days; after thawing the viability may drop to less than 50%, but the cells recover during the following 4-5 days; seed out at ca. 0.5-1.0 x 10 6 cells/ml at 37C with 5% CO2 maximal density of 1.5-2.0 x 106 cells/ml;
doubling time of ca. 30 hours;
frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at 5 x 106 cells/ampoule;
contamination was eliminated with Mycoplasma Removal Agent, then negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization, PCR assays;
