Morphology: flat cell body, slightly adherent, occasionally with short processes
Description: mouse neuroblastoma 6-thioguanine resistant mutant of cell line N4 that was established from a mouse of strain A/Jax with neuroblastoma C1300; cells were described to form increased levels of cAMP in response to prostaglandin E1 which is inhibited by opiate receptors; cells are aneuploid (modal chromosome number of 86) confirmed as mouse with IEF of MDH, NP, PEP B

frozen with 70% medium, 20% FBS, 10% DMSO at about 2 x 106 cells/ampoule;
negative in DAPI, microbiological culture, RNA hybridization assays;
Validated by: DNA fingerprinting (unique Hinf I-(gtg)5 DNA profile) * isoenzymes (confirmed as human with IEF of MDH, NP, PEP B)
