Derived from 3A (tPA-30-1); unlike the original the cells they have unlimited lifespan in culture. The parent line has been transformed using the temperature sensitive SV40 ts1730 virus. NB: Normal placental functions expressed at 40C (non-permissive temperature). Sub-culture should be drawn every 2-3 days at this temperature.
