This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

IDMEM or RPMI 1640 + 2mM glutamine + 50ÁM 2ME + 50pg/ml rhu IL-6 + 5% FBS Maintain cultures between 3-9x100,000 cells/ml;5% CO2;37C
The B cell hybridoma B9 has been cloned from the parent line B13.29 and is highly dependent on IL-6 for growth. The cells have been applied in bioassays for IL-6 of human, bovine, horse, pig, dog, rat, mouse and seal origin. For routine culture, cells are grown in 10-100 units / ml IL-6. This cell line has only been subject to preliminary quality control procedures. Authentication tests such as DNA fingerprinting will be performed only when this cell line is requested.
