This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

Part of the Business Division of the Health Protection Agency (ECACC, Salisbury, Wiltshire)
RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:6 i.e. seeding at 2-4x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C.
Karyotype: Modal No 47-48
Clone of RAJI selected for adherence to glass or plastic. Fibroblast like cell line. RAJI 'A' was developed from the adherent sub-population of RAJI cells. Karyotype analysis demonstrated that RAJI 'A' contains typical human chromosomes and the modal total chromosome number (47-48) is the same as that of RAJI. RAJI 'A' is also identical to RAJI with respect to isoenzyme composition, susceptibility to EBV infection and inducibility of latent EBV. Handle under laboratory containment level 2 conditions.
Research council deposit: No;
Price Code: C;
Validated by: isoenzymes (species confirmation)
