This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

Fischer's + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 10% Horse Serum (HS). Maintain cultures between 5x10,000 to 5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C.
Derived from a thymic tumour induced in a DBA/2 mouse by methylcholanthrene to produce the parent line L5178. A suspension line L5178Y was subsequently established. L5178Y-R cells are X-irradiation resistant and are highly tumourigenic in DBA/2 mice.
