Spontaneously transformed cell line derived from an umbilical cord from a new born Japanese female. Tumorigenic in Nude mice. Cells are contact inhibited. The cells will produce IL-6 after stimulation with IL-1. They express low levels of intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM-1). Lymphocyte function associated antigens (LFA-3) vascular cell adhesion molecular (VCAM-1) and granular membrane protein - 140 (GMP-140).
