This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

RPMI 1640 + 2mM Glutamine + 20% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Maintain cultures between 4-5x100,000 cells/ml; 5% CO2; 37C. Subculture every 8 days by centrifugation. Max of 1-2 x 1,000,000 viable cells/ml obtainable.
Karyotype: 2n = 46
Established by seeding peripheral blood lymphocytes from 20-yr old female, 2 months after onset of infectious mononucleosis. EBV transformed B-lymphoblastoid line. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2. Cells are particularly resistant to poliomyelitis and vesicular stomatitis, viruses similar to other cell lines carrying EB virus.
