This is the complete description of the cell line that you selected.
By clicking on a generic term (e.g., SPECIES) you will go to the corresponding index (e.g., index of species), while by clicking on a specific term (e.g., retinoblastoma) you will go to the list of corresponding cell lines (e.g., retionoblastoma cell lines).

EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM Glutamine + 1% Non Essential Amino Acids (NEAA) + 1mM Sodium Pyruvate (NaP) + 0.1% Luteinising Hormone (LH) + 10% Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Split confluent cultures 1:3 to 1:4 i.e. seeding at 3-5x10,000 cells/cm2 using 0.25% trypsin or trypsin/EDTA; 5% CO2; 37C. A further 15-20 passages expected.
Derived from a female caucasian infant with Down Syndrome. Karyotypic analysis shows 90% cell population possesses 47 chromosomes with 5 chromosomes belonging to G group. These findings persist essentially unchanged throughout at least 30 serial subcultures.
